IRIS data-deletion instructions

Last updated: 25 August 2026. These steps cover data received from Facebook, Instagram and other services connected to IRIS.

Disconnect Meta from IRIS

Sign in to your IRIS client area.
Open Business Brain and find the connected services section.
Choose Disconnect Meta for the Facebook Page and Instagram business account connection.
You can also remove IRIS from the Business Integrations or Apps and Websites area of your Facebook settings. This immediately prevents future access through that authorisation.

Disconnecting revokes or removes the stored access credentials and stops IRIS collecting new Meta data through that connection. It does not delete content that you already instructed IRIS to publish to Facebook or Instagram; you can manage that content in the destination account.

Ask us to delete connected data

Email [email protected] with the subject IRIS data deletion request. Please include:

your name and the email address used for IRIS;
the business or IRIS account concerned;
the connected Facebook Page, Instagram business account or other service concerned; and
whether you want only the connected Platform Data deleted or the entire IRIS account closed.

Do not send us your password, access token or payment-card information. We may ask for limited additional information to verify that you are authorised to make the request.

What happens next

We will acknowledge the request and normally complete verified deletion within 30 days. We will remove or anonymise the covered connected-account data and credentials from active IRIS systems. Protected backup copies expire through the normal backup cycle and are not restored for ordinary use.

We may retain limited records where required by law, or where reasonably needed for fraud prevention, security or an active legal claim. If the data is controlled by an IRIS business client, we may coordinate the request with that client.
